Monday

Hello ladies :)

I've been sorta flouncing my way around. This weekend was pretty good, as I kept on top of most things, sorta. I've been terribly distracted by my man, which is a wonderful thing... but I'm trying to balance everything.

HE washed the dishes for me like 3 times this weekend!!!!

He's learning to fly. He's picking up after himself! He's being an awesome help to me.

In other news, yesterday, I managed to vacuum the upstairs rooms, clean up my room and the bathroom. We started homeschooling again yesterday, so my mornings are pretty occupied, but I'm trying! :)

Honey says the house looks great :) What a difference a day makes.

Today's Accomplishments

Today was a busy hectic day for me. For starters my pain in the ass sister was here before my alarm even went off wanting things. *sigh* my family is a PAIN IN THE ASS!
But, i still managed to get a hell of a lot done.

Today i:

* Made the beds

* Did the dishes

* Folded two loads of laundry and put them in their appropriate rooms

* Washed a load of laundry and dried it

* Polished my furniture

* Washed down my coffee table

* Wiped down my kitchen surfaces

* Cleaned the doors on my refridgerator

* Cleaned all the glass in my house including tvs, glass doors on entertainment center, computer monitor and mirrors

* Cleaned my bathroom (breaking the back of the toilet in the process and cutting my hand dammit)

* Vaccumned my floors

* Cooked breakfast and dinner

* Got Bkid off for his first day of school

* Filled out my fitday

* Blogged

i also went with J to the city i weigh in and tried to get a car. (Didn't work out) Paid back my loan. And, shopped for clothes.

All in all a very productive day. But, i admit, i desperately missed the other flybabies.

How's it going for you guys?

well...

i have not been doing good on my diet. i have not been exercising or doing anything for me. it's like i have decided i am going to take a vacation. i haven't gained but i haven't lost. i am in the process of making out a menu list for the week and getting the grocery list made up. hopefully this will keep me on track. on the exercise front. my cousin almost has her building up so i can start exercising over there. she has tons of equipment.

i have busted butt in the house for the last couple days. i still have a lot to do, but it's much better. Hubby even got rid of a bunch of old papers for me :) i have got to get the house in tip top shape by the 30th. that's the first night of my sign language class.

on a romantic front, Hubby is taking me out on a date tomorrow night :D i don't know where we are going or what we are going to do. guess we will decide when we get to where we are going.

it's time for me to get up and get busy around here. keep up the good work everyone!

Yes, she still lives

I am so sorry I have been scarce this week. The boys came home Saturday and I have been busy trying to remember how to be a mom. They are great and it's nice to have them back.

Now to toot my own horn I am proud of myself. While I haven't done a whole lot, I have continued to make my bed every morning/afternoon (not a morning person ya know!), and keep my house uncluttered. Those places that I uncluttered in the first place at least. I have cooked dinner EVERY night this week. Did ya hear that? EVERY DAMN NIGHT. AND, it didn't kill me! Dawn, your crockpot chicken thighs were great! Thanks so much for that tip. The laundry has stayed caught up too!

Best thing in a way was the boys spending six weeks with anal step-monster. I think those poor things were indentured servants! BUT, they came home with their routine. They make their beds, put their clothes in our nifty new three slotted hamper, pick up after themselves, do dishes and Joshua even peeled potatoes for me! Guess I need to send her a thank you note. NOT. It's ok for me to have them do this, but not her! lol.

We are leaving for Florida tomorrow so I will be gone for a week. But, never fear, I'll be back. Hope everyone has a great week.

Weigh in... finally

So, after being trapped at the doctor's office with Bkid waiting on my sister for an hour and a half, and then being stuck in a traffic jam caused by a car wreck on the interstate for an hour and a half, i FINALLY got to weigh.

Drumroll please!

*

*

i now weigh 244!!! YAY! i've lost 36 pounds! Everybody dance!

Now if i could just stop shaking from listening to Bkid scream for 3 hours, i'd be in good shape. i haven't done squat on my house today and i'm probably not going to. i just want to scream myself. So... resting.

Today i:

DID'T STRANGLE BKID

bathed and dressed to my collar.

That's about it.

Monday, August 15, 2005

I'm sorry it's been a week since I've posted. I have been putting in hours like crazy at work while they are there for me. This week will not be much better.

I have not been flying as much as I should sadly. I go to work, come home long enough to eat something and then go back, when I get home Chris and I go directly to our room for some quiet time and we watch an episode of 24 then go to bed, get up and start over.

As most of you know, I have also been having some problems with my stomach. Early last week I was doing really well and felt normal for the first time in years. I was drinking my alloted 80-100 ounces of water and taking my medication regularly. I am still doing that, but for some reason I have become seriously nuaseated, yet, feel hungry ALL the time. Not just a feeling of hunger, but, a deep, gnawing hunger that has been making my stomach cramp. So, I eat. I feel better for just a little while, not more then 20-30 minutes, then I feel it again. It's effecting my sleep pattern and I am becoming depressed by it.

I have gained 4 pounds back.

I know it shouldn't bother me so much but it does. I am doing everything I am supposed to. I am following the doctors orders to a T. I am supposed to feel better, not worse.

Here is what I did today, will probably update later in the day.

1. Put away all the clean dishes

2. Washed all the dirty dishes

3. Swept the kitchen floor

4. Washed and dried all the laundry

Getting ready to take both me and Chris to the dentist. I can not tell you how much I loathe this. Maybe I can find a way to get out of the appointment Chris made for me. Any suggestions would be helpful.

By the way, you guys are doing great! Keep up the good work.

This week's stats

Well, I'm the ONLY ONE WHO HAS POSTED their stats this week, so the new totals reflect only my stuff. C'mon ladies, I'm NOT doing this alone.

Yesterday

So i didn't get to this yesterday. So, here it is late. As i always am these days.

Yesterday i:
*ran the dishwasher
*hand washed the pans
*wiped down the kitchen surfaces
*picked everything up in the kitchen
*washed down the coffee table
*feather dusted
*picked up everything in the living room
*did 3 loads of laundry
*made the beds
*cleaned the bathroom
*bathed, dressed to the collar, and sorta fixed my hair
*filled out my fitday
*made lunch and dinner
*paid the gas bill

AND, most importantly, didn't strangle Bkid.

Hello ladies

As you may or may not know, we are a homeschooling family. School begins in a couple of weeks, so I might be quieter than usual as I get ready to get him started on 3rd grade. I'm trying something new this year. ROUTINES! For the past 2 months, our morning & evening routines have been followed by me, my 8 yr old and my 2 yr old. So much so that last night, they actually went in and brushed their teeth and washed their faces WITHOUT ME! AND 45 minutes EARLY! I'm so proud of them. I have a.d.d. and keeping any kind of routine has always been just about impossible for me, but thanks to flylady's insistance that I can do anything, I've succeeded in not only mine but my children's success.

This year, we're going to try working with unit studies. These are different than what we've done in the past, and I'm hoping they're going to help us both stay focused. The first 3 years have been difficult, with teaching him to read. But now that he's got that down pretty well, we're ready to move on! I'm psyched, I really am. And I'm also going to begin my 2 yr old daughter on a sort of pre-school program to keep her occupied while I work with my son. I don't have any preconceived notions that by the end of the school year, she'll KNOW this stuff, but I figure if it's instilled early enough, maybe it won't be so bad when it really comes time. I did the same thing with my son, and so he knew his alphabet & numbers very early on. As I said, I'm so proud of them both.

So, if I don't post as much as I usually do, you'll know why. Getting these unit studies together and keeping the house, kids and hubby happy is certainly a full-time job. Add that in with my extracurricular activities and watch out! :)

Oh, and I FINALLY lost that one damned pound I've been working on for 2 WEEKS!! I've officially lost 30 lbs now :D *doing the happy dance*

Yay :D

My Day

I had every intention of sleeping all day but a co-worker called and woke my ass up at 10:45! That's the crack of dawn for me! I screwed around until about 2:00.

THEN, I made my grocery order (online like a good snothead!)WEG, vacuumed the bedrooms, upper hall and downstairs, cleaned up the bathrooms and of course made my bed! I will admit, a made bed looks nice even if we don't have to die for bedroom furniture!

I am seriously thinking of trying a Jazzercise class. I used to do it and loved it. I just worry it will make my knee hurt worse. I'm thinking that possibly sitting at the computer for so long with my legs under me or standing for 10 hours in work is what the problem is. Maybe I just need so good stretching or something.

The first week is free so I have nothing to lose. Just a matter of getting my lazy ass over there. I can't decide if I should do it now, then have to break when we go to Florida in two weeks or just wait until school starts and I am up early every day.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Two more days until our honeymoon period ends and the terrorists come home!

Dawn's day

Today, I've:
  • got dressed to shoes
  • cooked, roasted, fried (burned) a bunch of zucchini & eggplant
  • made breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • reworked my template for my other blog
  • fixed photoshop!
  • washed down the walls in mine & my son's rooms where the two yr old has tracked
  • vacuumed our bedrooms and hall
  • swished & swiped the bathroom
Annnnd that was about it lol

Lazy day

Today, I was a bit lazy, just rested on my laurels lol

I:
  • made breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • took my son to the dentist
  • bought my mother's deathSTICKS and mailed them
  • walked 2 miles
  • returned the videos to the library.
  • of course, made my bed
That was it. I 'm a slacker, I know :)

HOT DAMN SAM

Guess what I just found out? I found out that the Shop-Rite grocery store not 20 miles from us has ONLINE SERVICE! You do your shopping online and tell them when you will pick it it. You drive it at your convenience and BAM, it's done, bagged up and put into your car for you. You can use your coupons and they only charge $10.00 for the service! Hot damn, I would pay that and drive three hours NOT to go to the stupid grocery. Guess who is going to sign up tonight! And here I thought I would have to go there before the little men return home. NOPE, I will just drive up! Betcha's are jealous..na na na na na. LMAO Maybe if I toss in another fiver they will come home and put it all away for me. Naaaaaaaaah, guess you can't have everything!!!!

sooooo... i should carry my sorry ass over here and post more

i'm sorry guys. As another way of defeating lazy bitchitis, this will be my last post as phoenix. i'm going to bring my main blogger account over and post as angel from now on. i'm always signed in on that account, and too trifling to sign in and out. So in the interest of more posts, i'm adding that account here.
Now, as for what i did today.

i managed not to throttle Bkid. Which is very tough these days. He is bored lonely and pissed off because he is not in school right now. So he's hard to handle these days.

i cleaned my living room and kitchen, ran the dishwasher, wiped down the kitchen surfaces and the coffee table, feather dusted, made the beds, and did a load of laundry. Much less than i normally do, but still, i got something done today. So i'm celbrating the little things as Dawn says. Also, i had a very hard day today with nutsiness... the fact that i got off my ass at all and did anything makes me want to dance. Thanks millie and Dawn. i couldn't have done it without you guys.

You guys are doing GREAT!!!

I'm ashamed to add my tiny little bit. But I am a newbie remember! This is our last week of freedom before the boys come home Saturaday so don't even expect me to cook this week! LOL

I worked 10 hours today. Monday is my loooooong day. BUT, I made the bed, threw in a load of wash before I left. Again, I stopped home at lunch to throw it into the dryer. Soon as I walked in the door tonight, I grabbed it, folded it and put it away!

BUT, this may redeem me. Yesterday The Great One and I went shopping. I bought a nice three compartment clothes sorter for boys bathroom and one for our bedroom. This saves time by having the clothes already sorted so I can grab and go! We also got the boys rooms totally done. I got them each a new comforter and sheet set. Don;t even get me started on trying to find a bed in a bag for less them 200.00!!! WTF???? So they got comforters on sale for 19.99 and sheets on sale for 9.99! HA. Their rooms are done, beds made up nicely. All they need are dressers.

I am not nearly where you guys are, but I am taking my baby steps and staying with it. Give me time.

Keep up the great work everyone. Dawn, I will be visiting your recipe site often once the monsters get back! Hopefully I can join the confab Wednesday since I had to switch my days and I 'm working tomorrow!

Today's accomplishments

Well, I 27-thing flinged my way through my pantry this morning, tossing all kinds of stuff that doesn't bring me joy (extra sippee cups, lids to misc. things I don't have or don't want). I did a detailed cleaning of my pantry. Cupboard doors washed down, all counters cleared, washed and the JUNK removed. It's a LONG TIME coming! It looks great though! I even took the knobs off the stove, the drip plates out, washed everything, dried and put back. I washed the fish tank for the fish we haven't had in nearly a year. LOL no, I haven't had dirty fish water - but I had put water in the tank to wash it out a couple of months ago, so I could buy fish... and then it sat there. Now it's shiny clean and just waiting for a fish. Whether I buy one or not remains to be seen LOL

Angel & I flew this morning, on an adjusted schedule to fit us. 20 min on, 10 off. I know I got tons accomplished, thanks to her.

Oh, I also swept and washed both pantry & kitchen floors, cleared the MAJOR hotspot of a table too. I also made breakfast, lunch AND dinner, which was fantabulous. I'm posting the recipe for tonight's dinner on Tasty Space, cuz it was awesome.

OH! And I just got back from walking 3 MILES!!!

*doin a little happy dance*

I had a good weekend, and I'm hoping this week will be fun too!!!!!

Today

I like your suggestion Dawn, although I can't promise to do it every day. I am struggling to find enough time in the day to do what MUST get done. I will try though.

Today I washed the dishes, cleaned the counters in the kitchen, swept the floor, washed off the table, cleaned out the refridgerator, washed the mirror in the hallway, cleaned the downstairs bathroom, including toilet, cleaned off the hotspot I have in the living room (glass coffee table), took out several boxes and a couple of bags of garbage (well, Chris did that, but we got it done), worked on the website, vacumed the living room, the stairs, the upstairs hallway, both the kids' room, put up some more posters in their room, straightened everything up, cleaned the upstairs bathroom, including toilet (ugh), cleaned out the desk in the boys' room, made dinner, and drank three bottles of water so far, only two more to go tonight.

Speaking of accomplishments, as you know, I did not do measurments when I started. I still haven't done them, probably won't, simply because of time constraints. However, I can tell you that I now fit into two pairs of pants I had that were too small for me, and have to wear a belt with two more pair because they now literally sag off my waist down to my hips.

I am feeling better, but not as good as I should be. I think it is going to take a while for my body to realize it doesn't need to horde the fluids as I continue to feed it more and more. I am up to drinking anywhere from 80-100 oz a day. I know I still need to do more, but, a huge improvement from barely 20.

I am not sure if I mentioned it or not, but I have been doing flylady's routine for about three years now. It does not mean my house has always stayed in shape. It means that when I remember to do it flylady way, it looks great, too often I was forgetting.

So, a huge thank you to all my flybaby sisters who have reminded, poked and prodded me not only about flying, but, about my health issues, especially my drinking problem (yes flyladies, I have admitted I have a drinking problem) My life has been changed thanks to all of you and there are no words that can express my gratitude and love for you, not even if I used every word in the dictionary. It seems small, but the only words I have are Thank you.

a decision

So, it's kind of occurred to me that we're not celebrating the everyday accomplishments that we've been quietly having. I think that each day, we should each post everything we've accomplished in the day. I think, seeing it in print, will help us see that we're really DOING stuff, and that this stuff is ALOT more than what we USED to do :)

Today, I:
  • got dressed to shoes
  • washed the comforter and the white clothes
  • made my bed
  • made breakfast, lunch & have dinner marinating
  • went to the store for water, and the farmer's market
  • gave the baby a bath
Who's next?

Woohoo to all of us!

See, we told ya! Baby steps.

My morning routine takes me about 2 hours, but that includes breakfast and reading time with my kids. BUT! I feel super when I get it all done!

I'm getting into the whole menu planning thing now, and O M G, it makes my days SO much easier. I used to get soooo annoyed every day because I didn't know what to make, or didn't have the ingredients I needed, etc. Now, I make my menu out at the beginning of the week (Saturday), hit the stores and farmer's market and I'm good to go for the week. Now, I just look at my little index card and poof, I know exactly what I need to take out in the morning, etc.

As for the crock, I LOVE MY CROCK POT!!! Yes, just about anything can go into that baby. Frozen doesn't matter if you're going to cook it all day. I'm glad your roast came out good, too :) I have been using it alot for chicken (typically thighs). Just throw them in, season them with whatever is handy, and leave them! I usually cook them on high for about 5 hours and they just FALL off the bone. Breasts tend to dry out, so that's why I stick with (cheaper) darker meats.

As for me, I've had an iffy weekend. I have been struggling with my carb intake (and I shouldn't be by now, I feel), and then feel really guilty when I eat something I shouldn't. Oh well. I dont' want to backslide, and I can easily see that happens.

So, here's hoping that this week goes better. I'll post my menu later.

Have a GREAT week, flybabies!

Week One

Well, I completed my first real week of flying. (The cleaning end anyway :) )

I am quite happy with the results. I stuck with it, did a load of laundry every day, made the bed and stayed on schedule. It helps too that Al is so appreciative of my efforts!

Today we went to NYC to see Phantom. I got up late (yeah, what else is new) and when we were halfway there I realized I didn't make the bed! Al said what's the big deal? Guess it wasn't but to me it was. I made that stupid bed every day this week and now I forgot!!

Guess what I did as soon as we got home just a little bit ago? Yep, I made the damn bed! Al laughed, said he couldn't believe I was doing this at 7 PM, but I felt I had to. Guess this is starting to sink in!

Now if I can just remember where that damn grocery store is!

Thanks to Dawn

My husband actually had a home cooked meal when he got home tonight. First time since the boys left! I must say, he enjoyed taking me to dinner so much while we had this time together, but it does get a bit old after awhile.

Dawn grabbed me on messenger this morning (before it crashed) and told me to toss my roast in the crock frozen! Popped it on high like she said and it was done when Al got home! He was very surprised. I told him to say a big thankee to Dawn!

House is clean, surface clean anyway. Everyone is so right. Sure makes a difference and makes it easier to keep going when your hubby compliments you as soon as he walks in the door! I hope I can keep this up once the boys come home. They can mess up a clean house faster than any kids I know.

Hope everyone is well. Glad you got your computer going angel.

angel/phoenix's status

Hey everyone,

Angel wanted me to post that she's having more problems with her puter and will be back online just as soon as her computer decides to cooperate :)

This week's stats

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I've deleted the month of June to make the table easier to read.

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

i'm in shock!

well in a month i have lost a total of 19 pounds and 27 1/4 inches! i really didn't think i had lost that many inches. i have been bad and not exercised, but pretty much stuck to my diet. i have cheated a few times, but got right back on the diet. i litterally almost fainted when my inches were taken. i am so happy i could do a jig!

i was talking to Neal today and we both decided that i need to go to school part time. i need to get out of the house and do something for me. for the past 10 years my life has revolved around first my autistic son and now both he and my spoiled rotten daughter. i don't care if i get dressed during the day. i don't care if i even go outside to see if the sun is shining. i don't care if i even go over to my mom's house and she only lives 150ft away from me. so, we both decided that i absolutely have no life and i need to get one. my mom told me i needed to find something i liked to do and go with that. it hit me like a ton of bricks. i don't know what i like to do anymore. i haven't thought about it in so long that i just don't know. we can't afford for me to start any classes this semester, so i guess i will be thinking and seeing what i like to do.

the house is far from perfect, but it is comming together. slowly but surely. i want it to be done NOW, but of couse i have to do it and it isn't getting done as fast as i want. i still have a lot to do, but it isn't like it has been in the past and i know that if i keep plugging away at it, it will get clean. one day.

my bathroom floor has been wet for the past few weeks. we couldn't find the source of the water, but i think i found it today. my A/C! water is pouring under the trailer. Neal will have to get under there tomorrow and see if he can fix it, if not i have to call the guy that put it in for us. i think the dog probably hit something and broke it. Neal even changed the seal on the toilet today thinking that was where the water was comming from. He said that he waisted that 86 cents LOL

i don't know how to post the chart with my measurements, but as soon as i learn i will post them. i am so happy i have done this. i just can't believe that i have lost so much so fast!

take care and keep on soaring!!

Sorry if I am getting on your nerves....

I really think I can do this, this time. Taking is just a little a day really makes a difference, doesn't it? Before I threw myself all in and got the entire house sparking, then it would go to pot so fast and I would say the hell with it.

This way, a little a day, it will stay kept up I think and I won't have to throw myself in like a nutcase. Nice and steady. Never made sense before but it does now. Yeah, I have a long way to go to have a totally clean house, you still can't go upstairs or in the family room, the what you see when you walk in..living room, dining table, kitchen are nice and neat.

Got my morning routine done and did the dusting and vacuuming in the living room, washed the kitchen floor (glad I picked up a swiffer mop) and the load of laundry is done and put away. I am tempted to do another, but I know me and it will sit in the dryer anyway. I will stay on my schedule and do another tomorrow. Oh yeah, made the bed too!

Sorry if I am posting too much with details that are only exciting to me, but I wanted to share. I think this kind of daily report will help me stay on track. I'll have to chage things slightly when the boys come home and I have to start cooking again, but I have another week to settle into this then I can add the cooking crap.

AND, it's only 2:30! WOW BTW...my stupid messenger won't open so please don't think I am hiding. I an determined to figure that baby out too.

I'm such an evil person LOL

Sunday, I had finished putting the groceries away, and was sitting around watching a dvd. I couldn't decide if I felt like going walking or not. My walking buddy called. She was on her way back from a long weekend of motorcycle training classes that she teaches. She'd been on her feet all day, both days, was tired and hungry. I said "I am trying to decide if I want to go walking or not".

She says "Well, I'm still in town."

I said "do you want to go?"

She says "sure, why not".

SHE SAID YES.

So I threw my sneakers back on and was out the door. I got there and pretty much had to pry her out of her car. LOL We started walking, and I explained the whole reversing the coarse thing. She was very whiny, very tired and overall, being a pain in the ass. Mostly like just as much as I am some days when I just don't FEEL like being there ;)

So, we walked. At the top of the first hill, which really is very gradual, I thought I'd have to get behind her to push her up. We walked on. Then we got to the next part where we have to walk DOWN a very steep hill, but very short. Again she complained "I'm tirrrred, my feet hurrrrrtt". LOL That's nice.

See, on those first days when we first started walking, I was whiny too. I wasn't used to the exercise, and my shins killed me. My feet killed me. The heat killed me. I hate sweating. You name it, I complained. BUT I WALKED. She encouraged me. Well, on those days, when she's marching along to her own little drummer, I'd tell her PAYBACK'S A BITCH! And so I am ;)

So on Sunday, I paid her back.

With interest ;)

We finished our 2 mile walk and I told her she'd thank me. lol That night, she logged onto the group chat that we have each week and told everyone how I'd TORTURED her. lol

The next day, she called (she apparently had decided she DIDN'T hate me afterall) and we tried to go walking, but the rain storms had other ideas. But it was nice to give back all that ENCOURAGEMENT that she'd given me lol

I just had to share ;)

I DID IT

I got my lazy non-morning arse out of bed early enough to not only get ready for work, but do my morning routine too!

I always let the dog out when I get up so I have to go thru the laundry room. I grabbed a load of laundry and stuck it in the washer. Went back upstairs and MADE THE BED! I remember how! Looks nice too...lol.

I only work around the corner and up the street so I came home at lunch and threw the wash into the dryer and stuck in some towels. Once I got home, before I did ANYTHING, I got the clothes out of the dryer, transferred the towels to the dryer, went directly upstairs to fold and put away. IT'S DONE! Another WOW.

I don't have an evening routine yet other than just picking up and cleaning the sink. I think I will add getting the next days clothes sorted and ready to go into Mr. Washer.

I drank the stupid water and peed all damn day! I'll probably wet the bed tonight and hubby will think I am into some new kinky thing..LMAO. AND, I brought home a stupid tape meausre so tomorrow I will do that horrid deed.

Day one went great. I feel good. It really does make a difference just making your bed, even tho the stupid dog likes to sleep under the covers and messed it up. I fixed it..lol. I am really going to try to join the confab tomorrow.

Thanks for all the tips and encouragement. I think this time I just may succeed!

A Decent Day

Grocery store got put off for another day! This we can get away with when there are no kids in the house and you have a hubby that loves to take you out to eat! Soon to end, the boys return on the 13th. It was terrific while it lasted.

I did get A LOT done in Jacob's 'new' room. Moved the furniture, put his stereo in, his clothes. All I have to do now is have Al put his futon together. I want to get both boys new comforter sets so that's on the To Do list for next week. I will wait to get the beds made up until right before they come home.

I fixed my vacuum cleaner. I am so hard on them. I suck up whatever is on the floor and can't understand why the stupid thing chokes! I need one of those vacuums that can suck up a bowling ball.

Have you ladies called my husband? LOL. Our kitchen table is a lovely Hot Spot. For whatever reason this is the catch all place for everything. Well, hubby informed me today that he was cleaning it and it needs to stay clean cause it's the one thing that drives him nuts. He went on to say to help motivate me, he will gladly give me 5 every time it's cluttered again! LMAO. I guess that's fair and today all the stuff there was mine, but still. LOL.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Monday comes all too soon and it's my long day at work. I set up my Monday's to be light. My morning routine of 1) Making the bed 2) tossing in a load of laundry and 3) Attempting to drink the crappy water.

today's shopping trip

Ok, we just got back at 2pm. We've been gone 4 hours, shopping! LOL

I love grocery shopping (hate paying for it though!) I love to cook, and with my new lifestyle, it opens things up alot for me/us. Here's what I bought:

Farmer's Market:

(4) 2 ft long zucchinis (2 for $1!!!!)
(4) yellow squash
(1) eggplant
1 lb greenbeans
(2) beets
1 head romaine lettuce
seasoning for jamaican jerk *anything*

Supermarket(s):

Spaghetti squash

green peppers
tomatoes
onions
green onions
bottom round roast
haddock
tilapia
hamburger
eggs
grapes
watermelon
bananas

So this week's menu includes (and as you know, all recipes are on My Tasty Space.

Mon: Jack Fish
Tue: Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche
Wed: Spaghetti squash w/kielbasa (or possibly linquica)
Thu: Salisbury Steak
Fri: undecided

I LOVE all these fresh veggies in my house. It makes me feel good to know that this stuff was PICKED this morning! Now hopefully, I won't let it sit around for 2 weeks lOL

As a shittin sidenote - I was just looking at my receipt and realized I picked up the ORGANIC grapes instead of the ones on sale. OMFG - I paid $6 for 2 lbs of grapes. DAMN. Grrrrrrrrr

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this week, at least food wise LOL

I Love My Flybaby!

Thanks so much, she is really cute. I guess I am official now! Whoo Hoo.

Confession is good for the soul so they say so here goes. Another day of NOTHING. Well, nothing and something. I guess I should say here that my husband is a big and wonderful help. He is not a neat freak, but he is more motivated then I am in every way. His attitude is..."Yep, it sucks, just get it done!" Makes sense.

So, I didn't make the bed cause on the weekends when the kids are gone we are in and out of it all day long.. No sense in re-making it over and over and over is there? I didn't have to clean cause Al, ever the early bird got up and got that done before my eyes even opened! Yes, I am lucky. That counts too right? :)

We TRIED to go to Cosco. Having never been before we had to get a card. There is nothing in life I hate more than shopping so I was in a pissy mood as soon as we walked out the door. Get there, stand in this huge line just to get up there and get the application. We filled that baby out just to find out you can't pay with a credit or debit card. Cash or American Express only! WTF?

We left and they can kiss my ass before I will go back! Talk about putting me in an even worse mood. BUT, I did TRY..lol.

We ended up at the library, this helps a bad mood for me. Had lunch, came home and took a nap. We will try the grocery thing again tomorrow. I also have to get my ass going on finishing Jacob's room. Since Gabbie moved out, he is moving into her room. They all left for the summer in June and this room is barely started. I have two more weeks!

Does anyone else have a really hard time getting anything done when their hubby is home? As bad as I am, I am worse if he's here. I just want to play!

Defeating Lazy Bitchitis

So, i had my day in the barrel today. i didn't want to do a damn thing. But, my fellow flybabies came to the rescue. millie pep talked me on IM and finally Dawn called my lazy ass and said get up!!! And, i did. i got my house cleaned. And, i'm going for a walk. Thank you flybabies! i've had this disease (lazy bitchitis) for years. But, i think i've finally found the cure. You guys!!!
i still haven't weighed. i want to. J weighed at work and lost three more pounds. If his cheating ass lost three more pounds i should have done well too. i want to know. i think i may ask his mom to borrow her car and take off to weigh.

Update: i weighed. 251. Oh, okay, 251.8.

Question

Does anyone know how to get hard water stains to come out of your toilet? I guess they are hard water stains, I really don't know what hard water is, but they say we have it here in Jersey.

I scrub and scrub. I let bleach sit in the toilet forever, then scrubbed some more. I got most, but not all and it looks gross. AND, I clean the toilet often so I can't believe it's building up like this. Maybe it would be easier to buy a new one! LOL

One other question. I can't copy the table for the measurements. I am computer brain dead. Is there a way to send it to me? Or can I send someone my stupid measurements to add to the table? Or maybe we can just forget about it. WEG

Thanks.

what a surprise

So I had a crappy day. Didn't have any motivation, for whatever reason. I did what was necessary (dishes, etc.) the bed is always made as soon as I get up. My son swept the floors. But that was basically it. I did the dishes again after I went for my walk and got back, I felt better. Cleaned off my desk and just sort of chilled out, watching a movie. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

I did measure again and found an inch missing from my HIPS! YEEEHAWWWW

I think reversing the direction of the of my walk helped.

Ok, in any case, way to go with your choice to quit smoking, nikki! I'm very proud of you!

we can do this, ladies :)

Today sucked

Nothing like having to admit you missed your easy goals on your first day out! I went at it full force yesterday and felt like I could do it all.

Today, the simple thing of making our bed didn't even get done! I am NOT a morning person and this moring routine is going to be the hardest of all for me. I made it out of bed with enough time to shower, put on my face so not to scare the children, get dressed and get out! Thank goodness I only work around the corner and up the street!

No bed made. I did declutter a little bit when I got home and went thru the mail. I have no energy left. Work sucked it all out. So easily the "I'll start tomorrow" went through my head again. I need to force myself to do the bedtime routine tonight. That may redeem me a little.

Get the whip out Dawn. I never got a chance to weigh today at work. Well, you know how long that takes! LOL. AND, I ate two packages of cupcakes when I got home because I worked longer than I expected and was starving. And WATER? I bathe in it, I do not drink it..lol.

Guess I will go stand in the Soar Corner until you decide whether to throw me out on my lazy, unmotivated badorkus or not! Tomorrow will be a better day. Won't it?

Welcome Kay

Just wanted to add my welcomes Kay. You'll notice my posts are hit and miss at best. I am so busy lately that if I don't remind myself, I'll forget to breathe.

On a more uplifting note, I have lost 6 more pounds and am down to 210 at the moment. I am hoping it continues. I am still struggling with the water, but, I am still determined to keep it up.

Tonight is the night that Chris takes his final for Anatomy and Physiology and that means that in the next two days we will quit smoking. I hope we can survive each other. Say a prayer for us will ya?

Well, as usual, I'm heading out for work. Keep flying ladies, and Kay, it is no joke that I unpacked our entire apartment 15 minutes at a time. These ladies will keep you going. Watch out for Dawn's whip, it bites.

>huggles everyone<

Hello and thank you

Before I go to bed I wanted to say thanks and hello. Thanks to Dawn and Phoenix for all their help getting me here. I look forward to getting to know everyone and getting out from under the mess. Of my house and my life..lol.

I made a big post on my blog about how I decided to get it together today once and for all. I won't repeat it here. At the time I didn't know how to post here!

I am going to take baby steps and get a stupid tape measure. I will have measurements that are more to Dawn's liking and not the one's I use in my world. It will be next week because I refuse to do this with my husband looking. Well, maybe I can fit it in tomorrow.

Friday's goal...making my bed, decluttering and actually making a grocery list. That is a big enough baby step. I've only been in the grocery ONCE since my kids left for the summer..lol. Yes, I should be embarrassed.

Thanks again and it's great to be here.

angel aka phoenix

YAY!!!

I'd like to extend a big HUG and a great big welcome to our newest member, KAY!

She needs our help to get some control into her life, fellow flybabies.

Kay, first thing you need to do is get yourself a timer! We can do anything for 15 minutes at a time. Just ask nikki, who got her whole apartment unpacked, 15 minutes at a time!

Then, as I said, get those measurements & weight to me, so we can add you to our fly baby roll.

Please, feel free to post any time you want/need to. We're here to help. And don't forget that yahoo messenger. It's a big help!

Again, I'm glad you're here ;)

I'm back :)

Well, my fellow flybabies are doing awesome, and I'm so proud of all of you! I know that Millie's having a tough time with her family right now, but Millie - we're here when you need us! :)

My weekend went pretty good. For the most part, I was able to make healthy choices, and got some exercise in as well. We walked nearly 5 miles on Saturday at the concert!

And as some of you who visit my other blog know, I revealed my "Other" identity there yesterday, so I'll do the same here. My "other" identity is Lady Calliah and my blog, A Kinky Woman's Guide to the Universe had been a great sounding board for me and the various things that run through my thoughts. I hope that my regular readers from there will also come here and support me & my fly baby friends in our efforts to get healthier and live longer, sexier lives :)

Oh, and have I mentioned?

I've lost 25 lbs!!

Quickies

Nothing huge to report, I'm sorry I've not been on more. Please be patient with me while I sort out my life, hehe.

I am having to work extra hours at work because we are hurting so badly for money. My days are no less hectic then when Chris was having to take tests everyday. I don't know where my time has went and I feel a bit disorientated.

I am working diligently on drinking more fluids though and am making good progress. I am up to three 20 ounce bottles of fluid a day. I know it is not enough, but, I used to be lucky to make it through one. Slow steady steps and maybe I'll get to where I'm going. I think I might even be enjoying the taste of fresh bottled water. Imagine that.

Keep flying my dearest, between all of us, we will make it. Keep smiling and just a note about something that helps me like crazy to get motivated and get my work done. Put on music. Upbeat fun stuff that you can sing and dance to as you do your work.

Focusing on Good Stuff

So i had the day from hell. But, some good stuff happened too.

a) i still managed to fly. my house is clean, that helps.

b) i weighed. Down to 254 with clothes, shoes, and jewelry on. YAY!

c) i can now get in 18 JEANS. Before it was only dresses. And, they look right on me. YAY!

i have updated measurements, but don't feel like fussing with the table right now, i'll try to post them tomorrow.

Yummy yumyum

Ok, I just had to tell you all, I made such a yummy soup today and it's GOOD FOR US!

I'm posting the recipe over at My Tasty Space. My kids even loved it, which is very difficult since my son pulls his nose up at every thing that contains veggies. Ugh!

In any case, I needed to clean out the veggies I'd been kinda stockpiling since we'll be away this weekend and I didn't want them to go bad, so into the pot they went!

It really was awesome.

Also, I promised the recipe for this other thing I made last night called Crock Pot Beef Stew with Roasted Vegetables. AWESOME!

This week's update for me

I'm doing this early since we'll be busy this weekend.

My Weekend

I spent the weekend flying high high high. I managed to get the entire downstairs cleaned back up, the laundry done, almost all the clothes hung up (I still have to hang up what is in my boys' dresser). About 15 boxes unpacked in our room (the last room in the house to be worked on) I still have a little to do in my room and my daughter's room, but, most of the work is in the boys' room. We are going to work on it a little bit every day. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have it done.

Eating is slow glowing. I am working hard on taking in more fluids. I am doing a little bit better. I haven't been to grandma's and I don't have a scale so I have no idea what I'm weighing at this time.

Monday, July 18, 2005

Well, another weekend down!

So, I'm psyched cuz we're going away this coming weekend for a concert and to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. I'm very excited, but also kinda worried about the challenges I'm gonna face spending 8 hrs at a stadium where you can only eat their stuff, and can't bring anything in. UGH.

Ah well, I will manage. So how are my fly babies doing? Millie, are you back with us yet? I know phoenix is fluttering along, but I'm concerned about nikki. SHE ISN'T TAKING CARE OF HERSELF, and I don't like that one bit.

To try to make this week a bit easier, I've gone ahead and planned my menu for the 4 days we'll be here. Here's what it looks like:

  • Monday: Salisbury Steak. I haven't decided on sides yet, but I know it'll definitely be with wax beans (awesome find at the market) and probably stuffing for the boys. Oh and a mixed greens salad for me - I LOVE the mixed greens I've been finding at the farmer's market!

  • Tuesday: Crockpot beef stew (I'll post the recipe later).

  • Wednesday: Indian Summer Skillet Chicken with roasted veggies (probably squash & zucchini again).

  • Thursday: Boca Burgers (all american variety), and I'm going to try the turnip fries that she's suggested in the back of Saving Dinner, so we'll see!

So we'll see how that all turns out. See ya later!

Aggrevation and Update

So... i cannot access this blog right now. ARGH! This drives me nuts because i blog by clicking the blogthis button at the top. Everytime i try to read this, my connection crashes. We will be fixing this asap.

i am doing better again. After my flybaby mentor chewed my butt a bit, i have gotten myself back on track. Thank you Dawn. my house is back in good shape and i'm whittling away at the desk of doom.
Today i bought every thing for my control journal except my sheet protectors because Dawn is sending them to me. YAY! i am excited about this because i think it will really help me to set up routines and stay on track.
i am filling in my fitday journal much better now. i am going to post the link to my profile as well.

Not being able to weigh regularly is a pain in my ass. When we get some money, we will buy a nice scale. Until then, i guess i'll just have to weigh when i can get to that city 30 minutes away. *sigh*

Update on Me

As most of you know from my other blog, I have been struggling with life on a daily basis. I am sorry that I haven't been able to keep you up to date on my flying and weight here.

I am holding at 216 right now. Not loosing, not gaining. Nor have I been eating healthy though. I have fallen out of the habit of having breakfast. Something that I think had been helping a lot.

Just so that ya'll understand how hard it's been, here is a quick breakdown of my schedule. Get up, take Chris to the college for testing, come home, grab something to eat, get ready for work and then go to work, come home and eat again, go to bed, get up and start over.

There is an end in sight though, this is the last week that Chris has to test every day. Then he will have a break for a couple of weeks and my mornings can be spent online flying with you ladies. I have alot to do before my kids come home so I'm gonna definantly need those confabs.

Hope to see you soon, hang in there ya'll.

Monday, July 11, 2005

Hmmm

Alright ladies... I know some of you are having problems keeping track of what's going on, but we need to hear from you, even if you're having problems. It keeps the rest of us on track, too.

I've lost another 2 lbs. yay. Tonight, after dinner, I was laying on my bed reading. I closed my eyes and was just about to drift off and said to myself "you know, you REALLY should go for a walk." Miracle of miracles, I didn't slap myself for such a foolish idea, got back up, put my sneakers back on and went walking :D Yay for me anyways.

I made that mexican casserole again tonight, along with a capri salad and it was awesome. Was light, and yummy.

SO anyways, that's me for now.

Me, an update

Hi there ladies,

Well, I've been fluttering , though this weekend, all went to hell. But I've managed to regain some control, so that's good. I've got the laundry caught up, which is always such a pain in the butt.

I just posted the recipes of what I'm making for dinner over at my recipe blog My Tasty Space. We're having salisbury steak and mashed faux-tay-toes, and then I'll also steam some broccoli for me, and reheat the corn on the cob for everyone else. ALl in all, a pretty healthy dinner! Best of all, it's nearly done and it's just barely noon!

I did my measurements last night, but nothing had changed, so I'm not gonna bother posting :( I did lose another lb, that'll hopefully stay gone.

My rings are loose now! I love that!

You girls are just doing so SO awesome. I know it's hard to keep on track in the midst of a bunch of STUFF we can't have, but we can do it. I know i had to this weekend at a friend's and managed to only have ONE naughty cookie.. but since nothing else on my dinner plate had any carbs (all I had was turkey & pulled pork without bbq sauce), I was allowed :)

Have a great rest of the week, flybabies!

So, here it another long time having passed since i posted. Someone kick me in the ass. *sigh*

i am hanging in and hanging on. Since i am now weighing in a city about 30 minutes away from me, i am only able to weigh once a week, if that. So i don't know what my current weight is. i'm going to try to shag my ass up there tomorrow and find out. But i do have updated measurements.

As for flying. i was horrible over the holiday and let my house go to hell in a handbasket. Then i got up this morning and i was sick. It was hard, but i still managed to put my house back in order and i am proud of that. Used to be no amount of money could make me get my house striaght if i didn't feel good. But, since i've been a flybaby, i've kept it up better and it really wasn't that unbearable. YAY!

So, goals for this week.

1) The desk of DOOM.

2) Go swimming at least 4 days for an hour.

3) Get my weight.

4) Make Bkid's doctor's appointments.

5) Use my fitday journal.

i hope to see my flybaby sisters in the morning for a morning cleaning confab. i am very proud of every one of you, and i can see us fluttering.

YAY US!!!

What a week!

I only walked once this week, due to unbearable humidity & screwy schedules. But I kept on track with my eating and flying. I actually got alot accomplished this week by stealing an idea from phoenix and making lists. This week, I

  • Cleared my desk off
  • Cleared my kitchen table
  • Cleared my kitchen counter
  • listed my daughter's clothes on ebay that she's grown out of
  • Kept all my rooms at bay and straightened, including vacuuming
  • (most) of the laundry (ran out of quarters LOl)
  • Breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • Cleaned out our van, which is a horrible mess most of the time.

So I feel very good about flying this week. I'm down to 264, meaning 16 lbs. lost in 1 month. I know it won't go that fast all the time, but I am happy about it. And 11 inches is nothing to shake a stick at (but maybe shake a shake at) LOL

I'll be posting some more recipes later tonight or tomorrow, hopefully. I am really enjoying the Saving Dinner book!

Hope everyone enjoys the new layout for Trying To Soar. We're trying a variety of things, so who knows what the final product will be. :)

Millie, we need an idea of what you look like so we can get you a fly doll too.

Trying to Soar

well my house has gone to heck. i have decided to do the south beach diet. yep, i have to be the different one ;) i have to go tomorrow and get some food and a few other things.

my blood pressure is going up and my feet are swelling so it's time for me to get off my butt and get busy with this diet (or lifestyle change).

i am going to try and get my livingroom and kitchen cleaned up tonight. i am sick of looking at this mess.

we got my son an exercise ball. i got on that thing last night and just bounced. when i got up i had rubber legs lol. that thing'll kill ya!! so i guess i need to do it again tonight hehe.

i will post my measurments and weight (eeek) probably tomorrow or the next day. i really don't wanna know.

thanks again for the warm welcome :) and i think ya'll have done awsome!! i just hope that i can do half as good. keep up the good work.

take care,

Updating, sorta (Recipe)

Well, things are back to being too damned hot to do much of anything but maintain. Luckily, after last week's pretty thorough cleaning, that's all I've really needed to do. The floors need some attention, but they can wait another day or two. Ugh. I did keep busy today, trying to get everything done before it got too hot.

I've lost another pound, but am still pissed off that that's all it was after all that damned exercise. When I say we walk, we WALK, not just stroll. It's WORK. grrr.

Anyways, here's one of the recipes I made last week that came out so good. I hope you try it & enjoy it as much as we did.

  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 T balsamic vinegar
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1/2 t dried crumbled rosemary (I used about 8-10 fresh rosemary needles)
  • Chicken (I used 2-1/2 lbs of thighs)
  • 1 c broccoli
  • 1 sm bell pepper (I used 2)

Heat oven to 400°. In a bowl, combine oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and rosemary. Add chicken and vegetables. Toss until coated.

Arrange chicken, skin side up, in jelly roll pan. Place veggies in single layer, around chicken. Roast 40 minutes, till chicken is cooked. 1/2 way through, flip veggies.

I will post the nutritional info a bit later, when I have the book in front of me again.

Doing well

Just wanted to update with everyone and let you all know how I'm doing. I may not be posting as frequently as I am right now due to some new circumstances in my life.

I will weigh myself today when I go to Grandma's (Nikki knows better then to own a scale)

I doubt I have lost anything though because eating has been sporadic at best. I have felt lucky to eat once a day. Drinking has all but dropped out of the bottom so to speak. I was doing really well earlier in the week but with all the new stress in my life I have let it go by the wayside.

I realize that most of you already know this but I am back at work. Just so that everyone knows, I work from 330pm to 1200pm Central Time. Normally I would work Tuesday thru Saturday. This coming weekend however is a holiday weekend and I agreed to work both Sunday and Monday for a co-worker who has been really nice to me. This means that starting on Tuesday I will have a 12 day stretch with no days off. Since I work so late I usually do not get up until late morning.

Yesterday I spent the entire day flying. I think at one point I was so busy getting things done that I forgot to take about four of my breaks. Here is what I did yesterday.

  1. Dishes
  2. Swept the kitchen
  3. Finished putting away all unpacked boxes in there
  4. Vacuumed the downstairs
  5. Cleaned out the coat closet
  6. Cleaned off both my desks (hot spot big time)
  7. Dusted the living room
  8. Cleaned off the entertainment center and the bookshelf
  9. Unpacked all the bathroom stuff
  10. Cleaned both bathrooms
  11. Folded and put away all my towels, sheets, and blankets
  12. Emptied all the garbage cans
  13. Made the bed in my daughter’s room for our upcoming guest
  14. Cleaned the coffee table off and then cleaned it with windex (yes it’s glass)

Now, luckily for me my darling husband Chris was even bitten by the flylady in the last couple of days. He pulled everything out of my daughter’s room and set the furniture up the way we wanted it so that I could get in there and get the bed made. He helped me carry the garbage out and make dinner. He hung all my pictures up in the living room and in the kitchen. He also hung up the curtains in our room that we just bought. First time since we’ve been together that we’ve bothered to put them up on any of our windows. Normally we just let the blinds do the work.

Now all I need to do is get my boys’ room unpacked and our room. Then I can begin maintaining things. He is very happy at the way that our home is shaping up and I have to admit that coming downstairs to a clean area was really nice. I was proud of myself and I woke up feeling very good about all that I had accomplished.

It has really helped to have my cohorts to nudge me along when I start to lack. Even having them online is a help because it reminds me that there are things I need to be doing.

As my darling husband pointed out to me last night, we have done more work here in the last two weeks to make this a home then we did in our other place in the three years we lived there. It is very freeing. Now I just need to get back to eating healthier.

Grrr & Hi :)

I walked 4 days this week! That's 1-1/4 miles 3 days, 1-1/2 on the fourth. I've been under 1,000 calories most of the week. I haven't lost a SINGLE FREAKIN POUND.

I worked my ass off getting my house clean for this inspection THAT NEVER FREAKIN HAPPENED.

It's been a really ANNOYING week.

Someone tell me why I'm bothering?

Anyways, HI MILLIE :) Welcome to the mix. I am glad you joined, and I hope you'll benefit from us as well.

Time to go sulk and get ready to head to the beach - it's gonna be 9-freakin-5 here today. Luckily, I can go cuz my house is CLEAN! lol

Yeah, we'll see how long THAT lasts.

Welcome Millie

Welcome Millie. I do not do the low carb thing and because of my work schedule I find it hard to fly all the time. That is why we are here though, to support one another and simply do the best we can. We will fail time to time, that is human nature. Feel free to ask Dawn or Pheonix for my yahoo id and we can chat.

As far as housework. I have been seriously slacking. I have been depressed and I don't want to do anything. Too much stress going on in my life. It is a struggle to go to work every day so right now, each day that I do that, I have accomplished something.

Eating has also been another battle. We were doing really well but, for reasons I won't go into here, we started eating out again. Okay, I guess when I think about it, the reason is that I don't feel like cooking at midnight after I get off work. I have been forcing myself to have a bowl of cereal every day though because they say skipping breakfast is bad for you.

I have not lost a single pound. I am right where I started at.

I haven't lost hope though, I know things will get better.
hi :)

i finally joined :) well i can't promise that i will always do low carb or that i will always follow flylady, but i can give lots of support.

from everything that i have seen ya'll are doing great!!

thanks for letting me join :)

Still Kicking

Sorry, sorry, its been way too long since i posted. But, here i am.
Today sucked, my sister is in the hospital, and not being treated the way i wanted. So i was forced to raise hell. So bear with me... its been a rough day.
i had the flying confab with Dawn this morning and got my house back to spic and span. i am really loving those confabs! Nikki, i missed you, though. Its so nice to have friends to keep you motivated. You guys rock!!!
Flying on track!
Then to my new way of eating. UGH. i have had a lousy day here. First of all, the world conspired against me and i didn't get breakfast. Then i planned on having Vsis's leftover breakfast for lunch before going to the hospital. But it got knocked in the floor. Then due to no money and lots of commitments i ended up not having time to eat until about 6:30. And, by then i felt like shit. i didn't get anywhere near the caloric or carb intake i should have at a minimum for today. But, its only one day, i'll get back on track tomorrow.
And, one more fucked up thing... i had become suspicious that my scale is a worthless peice of shit. So i went to one of those weight and fate scales today, and was a little upset to learn that i actually weigh 261. So i don't know if i've actually not lost 30 lbs or if i weighed more than 280 to begin with.
Although my measurements and smaller dress size, still makes me think i'm doing pretty good.
See you ladies in the morning, for a confab.

Here I am again

I think I hear crickets in this place.

Anyways, I went walking again tonight, after doing most of the stuff on my list today :) Made a pretty good dinner, the recipe for which I will post tomorrow. One good thing about walking, it takes my mind off being hungry lol

I did lose 2 lbs, so I be happy. :D Anyways, just checking in.

Good day! I think. LOL

Well, what a long day anyways. Yes, spent this morning with my cohorts, cleaning and what not. Made a pretty good dinner (I LOVED it, they werent' too thrilled with it). I changed it a bit, taking out the cauliflower and adding summer squash. I thought it was awesome. What do men/kids know about veggies ? :)

So anyways, after dinner, my kids were making me pretty crazy so I called a friend and was going to ask if she wanted to go to the movies, and she instead asked if I wanted to go for a walk.

OK, I said.

What a gorgeous night for a walk! We're not sure how long we walked, but we did walk for about an hour. It was really nice, talking & walking. We're going to try to do it as often her schedule permits. I'm psyched :)

Flying High

Okay, so, as everyone knows, I just went through the move from hell. Not only was the packing and moving been rough, but so has the unpacking.

I have to give thanks to my flybaby cohorts for encouraging me and keeping me on track. We spent the day in a three way chat where we would all get up and clean for 15 minutes and then return for our 15 minute breaks. During which we delighted each other with stories about our children, inlaws, and spouses.

For the first time in a very long time, I feel loved and supported as I am. I am overweight and I struggle to keep my house neat and orderly. These are not the usual kinds of problems that people need help with, but I do and I have gotten more done today than I have any single day since we moved in (Just ask Chris, he thinks they are goddesses)

So here is my thank you to both Dawn and Pheonix. Thank you for being my friend and supporting me. Holding my hand and kicking my ass when I need it. I can only hope to give you both half of what you've given me.

Just for the record, I have completed unpacking everything that goes in the living room. I have a few "hot spots" to take care of, but for the most part it's done. The kitchen has been my chore for today and I'm happy to report that thanks to my partners in crime, it should be done by the end of the day. Hey, it's only 11:45am here.

bad week

first of all, my shift key isn't working, so the punctuation on this is going to suck. will get it fixed asap.

i've been bad bad bad about flying this week. Barely managed to maintain, and got almost nothing hew accomplished. J was on 11-7 this week and Bkid out of school... just a nightmare. YUCK. So hopefully things will be better next week with Bkid back in school and J back on daylight. i hope so../

i have no idea how much weight i have lost. my scale has gone nuts. i am looking for a place to weigh weekly.

will post again when i get the other keyboard on here... this is driving me insane
